There's a New Cuz in Town

I do not want to steal my sister's thunder but I cannot contain myself any longer! I am officially an aunt!!! Kiernan Knox or "KK" as we call him was born June 15th.

The hospital would not allow non-siblings into Aunt Masure's room so we had to wait outside!! Very difficult containing so much excitement!!!

But the hospital couldn't keep me away!!!

The hospital did allow the kids to go to the nursery! They were so excited for a glimpse of their new cousin!!

Finally, she got to meet KK. Can you tell she is happy? We couldn't get the smile off of her face!!

Ladies, don't let this one fool ya! Those eyes show signs of sweetness but really it's a lot of mischief in disguise!! But he will tell you, "I love her." I am trying to work on his use of pronouns!!

And once the littlest one in the village, Hadleigh has not shown any sign that she is impressed with her new cousin. She has refused to even look at him!!

Fearless

Ya'll know my kids love the pool! But now they have taken their love to new heights....literally! Their new favorite activity is jumping off the diving boards. These kids have NO fear! My heart stops every time they leap!

WOW!!! I need a vacation from my Vacation Bible School! The kids had a blast and learned so much!!! We had lessons on Adam and Eve, Jonah (Who do you think got the Gold Star for knowing so much about Jonah? I'll give you one guess!), Peter and Hannah.

We learned so many new songs and will be singing them for the next year until we get our 2012 CD.

VBS 2011

This is what we are up to this week!! Our church has Pandamania!! The kids have been so excited to go to BBS (in Rocco's words) and are having a great time. Well, everytime I walk by the nursery I can hear Hadleigh fussing but I think that is just her way of talking to the Lord!! I am SURE she is having a great time!!

Rocco loves singing the songs because his favorite word is AWESOME! The main theme song for VBS this week says God is awesome about a 1000 times! Rocco wants to hear it over and over and over again!!!

4 months old

Hadleigh turned 4 months old last week. I can't believe it!! She had her Dr.'s visit and he says "Wow! She is so long!" That is the remark we get from everybody! So he took her measurements and at 25 1/2 inches, she is in the 92 percentile for height! She weighs 14 lbs 6 oz which is in the average range. And of course, she would not be my baby without the over 90 percentile head!! Why do all of my kids have big heads (this is hypothetical as I can hear your sarcastic remarks ringing in my ear!!!)

She is still a super easy baby! She takes great naps during the day but still does not sleep through the night. She goes down about 8:00 and gets up around 1 -2 a.m. and then maybe 4 ish and then she will sleep into the later morning if I can keep the older kids away from her.

You saw that she smiles, She has not laughed yet. She has not rolled over yet. BUT she is working really, really hard on getting her two front bottom teeth. You can see how swollen her gums are in the first picture.

Grammie got her outfit at a place called Mudpie. Isn't it the cutest thing? I wish I had taken a picture of the back. It has criss-cross straps and a ruffle bottom! Sooo adorable!!!

Smile

Vacation is upon us and blogging has been thrown out the window. However, I have a few moments to share what has been going on...

Somebody asked me if Hadleigh smiles.....YES!!! But she is VERY choosy who she shares it with!! For months, we have been trying to catch this joyous event on camera but she is smarter than your average 4 month old. I had to trick her by going outside and blinding her with the sun.

School's Out for the Summer!!!

It's official!! My 7 day weekends start tomorrow!!! Can you feel my excitement? Can you smell the sunscreen??

What are my summer plans you ask?

Well, I need to lose some baby lbs, if you know what I mean. I have a workout plan.

I am going to return to my blonde-ness!

All of us will be at VBS in June.

I received a free pass to Sea World so we will be visiting often!

We will be swimming a lot!

Kids have gymnastics.

Most importantly, we are going to relax and have fun. I want permanent smiles on everybody's faces!!!

This is how I feel...

NOBODY wanted to go to school today. Even though today is swim day at school, the kids were NOT interested in going. They wanted to keep sleeping and SO DID MOMMY!!!

ONE day left!!!!! and a 1/2 day at that!!! I can do it!!!

p.s. I know you are wondering........Yes, it is official. Bryan AND I have been kicked out of our bed. My first order of business this summer is to regain my power back over these kids of mine. Ha ha!!!!
