Hi Everybody! Remember Me?

I have several short sentences to explain my absence.

School started.

MOPS started.

Rocco has croup.

Hadleigh is getting her incisors (not her two front top teeth but the ones next to them) so she is gonna rock the vampire look!!!

The kids started back to daycare. This is all the stuff I had to haul up there

Getting 3 kids to daycare by 7:15 by yourself is TOUGH!!! NO surprise - I forgot to take a picture of them looking so cute and ready. I had already strapped them into the car when I remembered.

Hadleigh was very sad that summer was over...

Hadleigh liked this toy in her class.

The daycare does not provide breakfast! It is an extra fee - isn't that ridiculous! I pay a small fortune to this school, you would think it would include breakfast! Also note in the picture that Rocco has to take his "cell" phone with him to school in case he gets that important call!

We have also been very busy trying to beat this heat. It is nearly impossible but the kids love cooling off in the sprinklers while I am trying to keep our grass alive.

Here is a cute pic of my girl in her new 9 mos jammies b/c I couldn't stuff her in 6 mos footed pjs any longer. She is just one tall drink of water!!!

I am slowly getting into a better routine so hopefully I will have more time to post some fun stuff!!

The Legend of the Teeth Freak Continues...

You will not believe this!!!!

Last night, Jillian lost her first tooth!!!! She is just barely 4 1/2 years old!!! It has been wiggling for about a week now and as she was brushing her teeth, it popped out!!!

Can you believe that???

Here is her pretty "new" smile!!!

She was sooooooo excited!!!! She called Grammie and Poppy right away!!!

Here she is this morning with her loot!!! She was sooooo groggy this morning. She had wild bed-head!! I don't know if she even realized what was going on!!

Happy 1st lost tooth Jillian!!!! You are growing up way too fast!!!!

What does it take?

Tomorrow, all three children go back to preschool. Jillian will be in pre-K, Rocco is in the two year old class and Hadleigh will start in the infant class. Do you know how much stuff I need to bring with me to get three children to preschool?? Let me list it out for you:

Hadleigh
1. diapers
2. wipes
3. change of clothes
4. milk/ bottles
5. baby food/ rice cereal
6. pacifier
7. bibs
8. blanket

Rocco
1. diapers
2. wipes
3. change of clothes
4. sheet/ blanket
5. pillow
6. bathing suit/ swim diaper
7. towel
8. breakfast

Jillian
1. change of clothes
2. sheet/ blanket
3. pillow
4. bathing suit
5. towel
6. breakfast

ISN'T THAT AN INSANE LIST??? Not to mention, I somehow have to get the children inside the school as well. I seriously need eight arms. AND I have to make it to work by 8:00 for a meeting with my principal. Tomorrow will be a true test of my mothering (or lack therof) skills!!!!

Wish me luck!!!!

Pictures to follow......

Happy 6 months!!!

I am so emotional today for so many reasons. I can't believe my baby is half a year old. I hate how fast time goes by. Sometimes I feel I do not do a good enough job in cherishing the moment.

Hadleigh continues to be such a delightful baby. She went to the doctor today for her 6 mos. check-up.

Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz (60th percentile)
Height: 27 in. (91st percentile)
Head: 97th percentile.

Our girl is big. Almost every person that meets her makes a comment about how long she is. Look I could not even fit her legs in this picture!!!

She is very difficult to get to smile for the camera. As soon as she sees the camera, she puts on a very serious expression. This picture was the 52nd I took of her. She has started screaming at the top of her lungs. It is very entertaining for Mommy when all three kids are screaming at the same time!!

She has her two bottom teeth and she is working REALLY hard on getting a top tooth. This is how she looks 98% of the time - with hand in mouth with drool pouring out.

Hadleigh has started eating rice cereal and it is going pretty well. Some of it actually gets swallowed. Obviously, not in this picture but we are getting there. She also tried sweet potatoes for the first time yesterday.

Hadleigh can roll front to back and back to front but she cannot sit up unassissted. Rocco loves his baby sister so much and he loves to play "house" with her. Rocco is the Daddy and Hadleigh is KK.

Finally, Jillian loves Hadleigh and loves to instruct Hadleigh on all of the rules of the house. I love this picture. My mom got them these cute bee outfits. I hope someday they will be the best of friends.

2 out of 3

With only 3 days left of my summer vacation, things are getting a little edgy around here. There has been a lot of unexplained crying and fit throwing by all. I think everybody can feel that change is in the air.

Also everyone has a cold which includes a cough and a yucky nose. (perfect timing right??) So I was REALLY looking forward to my nap time today.

I got Hadleigh down first. This is a no-brainer and she is borderline narcoleptic.

Next Rocco....again a no-brainer. He is not feeling 100%. He has been crying off and on since 9 this morning and rubbing his eyes since 11. Easy, peesy, lemon squeezy as my kindergartens would say...
Next, the difficult one.....Jillian has finally reached the age where she is not napping everyday. But today, I knew she would go down quickly because of her cold.
I had to zoom out a little to include her Disney Priness divers. She insisted on sleeping with them in preparation for her afternoon swim because even a measly cold does not keep this girl out of the pool.

Ahhhhh....

I pat myself on the back and settle in for my hard-earned nap....

What is that noise???? My head is telling me to ignore it.......there it is again......

RATS! Its Hadleigh...what is her problem???

As I open the door to her room, I am overcome with a smell.....GAG!!!!! She has woken herself up with a huge explosion!!!!

Oh yea girl, I found you!

No nap for Mommy today!!!! After I hosed her down, changed clothes, changed sheets, etc., there is no hope.

I'll try again tomorrow!!!

Tiny Dancer Returns

Jillian has announced that she is threw with the Little Gym. She now wants to focus on ballet and tap. We have talked about this all summer. Remember her previous adventure with dance

Prima Absoluta
http://ashleyp-family.blogspot.com/2010/01/prima-ballerina-assoluta.html

It did not have a happy ending but she ensures me that this time, she will do much better and stick with it.

I have enrolled her in a ballet school and there is a dress code. Today, we had a mommy/daughter date to the ballet dress shop and she got all new gear....

Ballet
She is very excited about the tap!!!

Let's hope that this all works out this time!!!
