Transformation

Last Saturday, I was on my own with the kids. I made the big girl decision to take the kids to the beauty shop/barber shop. Not only was Jillian going to get a big chop, but after months and months of listening to Bryan whine about Rocco's hair, I decided it was time for Rocco's first cut!!!
Jillian went first! She behaved perfectly!!!!
In this picture, you can really see how much we chopped off!!!
Then it was Rocco's turn!!!! I didn't know how he would do, but maybe it was Jillian's great example, but he did awesome!!!!!!
Bye, bye sweet curls!!!! Do you hear Mommy's heart breaking???
He even did well when she pulled out the clippers to clean up around his ears!!!!
Voila!!!! Transformation central!!!!!! Look at him!!! Doesn't he look different????
Both kiddos were properly rewarded with a "pop" as Rocco calls them for their great behavior at the salon!!!!
On Sunday, our church finally had its pumpkin patch open and ready for business!!! But nobody was in the mood to do any smiling!!!!
Jillian finally gave in and gave me one smile.
Rocco just kept asking "why?" He did not understand why there were so many pumpkins at church???
This is the best shot I could get of the two of them. Rocco was not going to smile no matter how much I promised him!!!!
BUT he did want to show me his new tooth that has come in!!!! Such a funny kid!!!

Busy Does NOT Describe It!

Life has been beyond crazy lately!! I cannot stop to catch my breath for one spare moment.
This weekend started out with a fun PNO at our church. The kiddos had soooo much fun playing with their friends, and Bryan and I had so much fun playing with their friends' parents for a night out of dinner and adult conversation!!!

Then on Saturday, Jillian and I had a mommy/daughter date at the Majestic Theatre to see Beauty and the Beast! It started at 2:00 which is during Jillian's nap time. Let's just say - Jillian did the best she could. After every song in the first act, Jillian said "Mommy, after this song, I need to take a nap at Grammie's and Poppy's." Then it changed to "Mommy, you said in a minute I could take a nap at Grammie and Poppy's"

Then Saturday night, we joined the fam for Saturday night football. Reagan was playing Bryan and my alma mater - the Macarthur Brahmas!!! So fun to watch but not if you were Reagan. Our old team spanked Brandon's team and no one was happy on the way home!

Then Sunday, we met my Grandmother at the DQ in Devine and followed it up with our annual trip to Devine Acres Farm. So much fun!!!!

This was the best picture I got of the fearsome twosome!!!

Rocco would NOT loosen his death grip on my camera the entire trip. It went in the sand with him, in the water with him, etc. Good thing for extra cameras!!

Rocco was surprisingly good at the duck races!

Jillian and Gavin were off to the trike races!!!

Rocco needed a little assistance!

Jillian did great!!!

They played on the playground for hours!

Finally, it was time for some good 'ole fishin'!!!!

They didn't catch anything because they were too busy talking about how to fix the world's big problems!!

Can you tell from the last couple of posts how much Jillian loves her Poppy??

Enchanted Rock

Last Saturday, this is what I tried to conquer with 2 toddlers...climbing Enchanted Rock outside of Fredericksburg. I cannot tell you how gorgeous the day was!!! Breathtaking!!!!

Here is our crew at the beginning....before any climbing commenced. Notice we are still smiling??

Poor Uncle Bill-Bill!!!!! This is how Rocco "climbed." That is a lot of toddler to carry for long periods of time!!! He also refused to eat or throw away the rice krispy treat he had in his hands??

Jillian LOVED it!!!!

We gave R a chance to explore!!!

They really loved playing on the bench about 30 feet up the Rock.

These next two pics melt my heart to an extreme pile of mush. My two free spirits!!! My sweet, adventurous father and my sweet, follow-him-anywhere girl.

What a pair!!!!

It was quite a day!!! We really enjoyed ourselves!! But once we got back to the car, it didn't take long for this to happen....

B3 Photo Shoot

Thank you to all of you that checked on me over the weekend! Sorry to leave ya'll hanging but single parenting on the weekend literally zaps me of every piece of energy I have. I cannot talk on the phone and I cannot email b/c that would mean I have time to myself and you know that I don't have that at all!

But wonderful news........Baby #3 also known as B3 is healthy and active.

Technology amazes me at every turn. Here are pictures of B3 at 20 wks 4 days old. Amazing!!

Good looking profile!!!!!

This is my favorite picture!!! Some might think that B3 is trying to suck thumb!! BUT I know that B3 is showing me that Aggies Suck and B3 is destined to be a Longhorn!!! My genes are soooooo strong!!!!

For most of the sono, B3 was faced away from us - spread eagle. Hands and feet were flying everywhere!!!

Good shot of the ribs/spine??

Where is the money shot??? Ashley, get to the point!!!! I know that is what you are thinking. Out of all of the pictures, the sono tech did NOT give us that important money shot!!!!! DOAH!!!! What was she thinking???
Truth is, B3 was NOT cooperating at all!! We had made the decision to look!!! You know we would!!!! So we looked and we looked and we looked.
In the end, we got a very fuzzy very blurry picture of what appears to be a GIRL!!!!!! But we are only 80% sure, so that is why I didn't make a huge announcement b/c I am not 100%. What if a penis was in there hiding from the camera????
We do have another sono scheduled for our next visit. Hopefully, I will know FOR SURE that it is a girl and I can do a major celebration with bows and dresses!!!!

You Know What They Say About Big Feet...

Big Shoes!!!
I cannot tell you how many people comment on how big my children's feet are. Isn't that funny? Yes, they are huge! At 3.5, Jillian is in a 10 and Rocco at 20 months is in an 8. Now Jillian's are long and skinny while Rocco's are long and chunky!!
Poor Rocco took a tumble at school and got whacked with a toy. He is sporting a huge bruise and scratch under his eye.
He wouldn't take a break from the cold waffle to smile for me.
Jillian is a woman after my own heart and has already learned the art of camoflauge. She hides her feet in the color black.

Even though we had to take both kids to the doctor yesterday (Jillian has ear infection/Rocco has virus) they were both in good spirits this morning. YAY!!!!!

I also want to remember some funny things Rocco is saying:

Jigi - Jillian

wawa - water

Caca - coffee

only signs for milk

cookie

ba - bottle (just like Jillian did)

baby (he also loves to sign cry when a baby is crying - so funny)

Pa - Poppy

Nonah - Jonah (his favorite movie)

bubbles (says it b/c he does NOT want any in the bath)

to - towel

Like any boy with a lick of sense, he can clearly say pee-pee and poo-poo. Lucky me!

He is definitely saying more and more things but most of the time, B and I and Mom and Dad are really the only people who can interpret. He has not taken the step yet to put phrases/sentences together.

Happy Friday!

20 weeks

Well, I am halfway.....probably more than halfway as my doc told me with Baby #3 usually a woman averages going into labor 10 days early.

I really do not have much to report -

Sickness: None.

Tired: Extremely (this is my main symptom in all pregnancies)

Cravings: Whataburger (this is nothing new)

Weight gain: Approximately 5 lbs but visually I look huge. (I usually gain most of my weight at the end) I think everything has moved to my stomach and my boobs.

Clothes: Most days, I wear maternity clothes. However, this morning for my photo op, I decided to wear regular clothes to show you my shape. I used the scarf the camoflauge the bulge. AND I used the cute kids to distract away from myself altogether!!!!

Movement: I was getting pretty nervous b/c I was not feeling B3 move (I felt both J & R very early around 16 weeks) but last week I finally focused on the bulge and felt him/her move a lot and it has not stopped since! YAY! I think I just needed to give it a little attention!

In comparison, 20 weeks with Rocco......please do not even mention the fact that I am waaaay smaller in B2 picture. Do not go there!!!! Gravity is not my friend!!!!

Prediction: I still don't know what we are going to do on Thursday......but I will give my prediction of B3. I have NOT had any feeling on either gender. I was completely wrong with Rocco so I think my gender radar is kaput!!!!!

I really, really, really want another girl. Really, really.......soooooooooooo God will probably give me a boy. That's my prediction.
