That is the question!!!!
My friend Jaime asked me a very important question. So important that I thought I would blog about it.
A week from today is the ultrasound. The big 20 week ultrasound that can tell you the all important answer - girl or boy!!
This time around is a little different. We have a girl. We have a boy. Life is complete. This is a bonus round. Soooooo, in my mind, I think it would be very fun to wait until the end to find out the all important answer.
But then there is my heart or is it my total lack of patience that has been eating at me lately. The closer the day comes, the more the decision to find out is consuming my thoughts. My impatience is peaking and I think I won't be able to control myself. I mean the ultrasound tech will have the power to direct the wand and find out the important answer. All I have to do is tell her to do it. Oh my word, it is torturous to think about it!!!!
This whole situation is driving my mother bananas. I never knew the answer was so important to her. But when I first told her that we were going to wait to find out, she went nuts!!! It was so funny!! I have never had this power of annoyance over my mom!! It is pretty funny!!!
So to know or not to know???? I can't make up my mind!!!! I still have 6 more days to decide.

Well, I have done it both ways. (we didn't find out with beck because he was the first and we were just so thrilled with a baby and thought we would get everything neutral.) And it also drove my mom a little nuts, but she is used to it because Jill decided not to find out with either of hers. I have been hearing about gender revealing parties. Have you? It sounds really fun. You have the sono tech write it and put it in a sealed envelope. Then give it to someone you trust to take it to a bakery and they bake a cake...then you cut into it and it is either blue or pink cake. Oh and I think you are supposed to wear either blue or pink to the party to show what your guess it. That would be a really neat thing to do. I so wish I had thought of it about a year ago. :-) Heehee.
If you decide to find out, do a gender cake. So cute! I wish we had known about this cuteness with either or both of our pregnancies! A friend just did it last night, and it was blue. You can let Jillian cut it with a spatula. Oh my goodness, if you do this tell me. I will drive to SA for it!!!
I was thinking the same thing as Jaime. Why don't you have the tech write it down and then on Christmas day open it. That way it is still a surprise (i.e. you are not finding out right away and it is a Christmas present) but you still are waiting a little bit longer.
No way would I be able to wait...too much of a planner. And in the case of a second one (should we so decide), I will want to know so I can either get all of M's stuff ready or go ahead and get rid of it and start over for a boy. I don't like to keep unnecessary clutter!
Do keep us all posted!
I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!
