On Thursday, Rocco celebrated turning 9 months old with a trip to the doctor. It was just a normal 9 month check up but we waited and waited and waited. Over an hour, we waited to see the doctor and finally saw the doc, got a clean bill of health and had a flu shot thrown in for good measure.
9 months stats:
Weight: 21 lbs 2 ozs (75 percentile)
Height: 29 1/2 inches (85 percentile)
HC: something really big that put him in 85 percentile
Well, flash forward 24 hours to Friday and the daycare calls and Rocco has a fever. M & D go pick him up and he has been sick ever since. Poor little thing! He has had a fever ever since the visit. We can't seem to break it. I don't know if this is all due to the flu shot or if he picked up a bug in the doc's office. Since we were there for OVER AN HOUR WAITING, I am inclined to think he picked something up. Oh yea, he also has snot coming out of his eyes which I am assuming is pink eye.....and now Jillian's eyes are clouding up too.
So guess where I am going tomorrow??? But this time, we are wearing a mask and gloves!!!
Otherwise, Rocco is such a joy at 9 months. He is crawling everywhere, pulling up on anything that doesn't move and walking along while holding on to things. He has been drooling small lakes but seems to be stuck at 7 teeth.
His hair is turning blonder and blonder and has soft curls in the back and by his ears. He has a really sweet disposition. Lots of people will ask me, "Does he ever cry or fuss?" Well, he does sometimes (usually when Jillian has a blanket draped over his head and she is ordering him to go night, night) but for the most part, he is a pretty happy-go-lucky baby.
I cannot believe we are on the home stretch to 1 year old. These next several months will race by with holidays and my little baby won't be so little anymore.

Ash,
I am so sorry to hear that Rocca is under the weather AND that I was under the weather and couldn't make it up this weekend. The good news is that I am one sickness away from reaching my pre preggo weight. Hope he starts to feel better, and I hope that Jillian isn't getting the gooby eye.
Shanna
