April Re-Cap

So on Good Friday we usually dye Easter eggs, I keep hoping the kids will forget about this tradition but this year, Rocco would NOT let it go so we dyed.  Usually, I make them dye eggs naked.  Seriously, I love their clothes too much for anything to get on them.  BUT since they are getting older, I let them pick one old pajama t-shirt and underwear and we got started.

I think they did a GREAT job!!!

This little girl also worked on her potty-training.  EPIC FAIL!!!  No action in the potty but she did pee several times on the floor.  She is 3 years 2 months with no success at home.  She will go at school with her classmates but I am starting to think the teacher is LYING!!!!

The Easter Bunny delivered goodies and Mickey Mouse t-shirts because we are going to DISNEYWORLD!!!  I LOVE that Easter bunny!

Hadleigh doesn't quite get it!!!  Miss Grumpy!

Church-time!  My sweet young lady!

Look at my stud muffin!  Seriously, he looked so handsome.  I just wanted to eat him up.  He also said the prayer at lunch and just brought tears to your eyes.

And this ham!!!  Has EVERYONE wrapped around her finger!!!

Ha!!  This was KK after church at my Mom's!  Little stinker would not smile for me!

Easter egg hunt at my in-laws!  The kids go nuts!!!!

Yea I know...MIA

I realize I have been MIA for a loooong time.  I really have no good excuse.  We have had lots of exciting things going on but I somehow cannot find the time to blog about it.

Back in February, our school recognized some of the highest readers.  They were to dress like "movie stars" and walk the "red carpet."  Jillian making her entrance.

Jillian and several other cutie-pies read over 300 books to win the top honors at the party!!!

Here she is posing with her "Oscar" on the red carpet.  She wanted to know why it didn't have clothes.  Ha!!!

In March, we recycled our Cat in the Hat clothes in celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday.  Of course, they were the cutest kids in school.

At the beginning of March, we took our 1st grade field trip.  All Jillian cares about is riding the bus.  Only time all year!

Some of her cutie-pie classmates.

The ball pit!

Clowning in the store!

Doing a science experiment with soap and dry ice.....

Here she is holding her bubble!

I will try and be better about blogging.  I know, I know.  I've said that before!

Tiny Dancer Part 2

I told y'all that Hadleigh was dismissed from speech but Hadleigh's physical therapist really wanted Hadleigh to continue some kind of physical therapy/activities.  There is a dance studio right by my Mom's house and she turned 3 on the 10th and the class started on the 11th!  Perfect!!

My mom says that Hadleigh is loving it!

Obviously we did not get the pink memo!  Ha!

Look at her following directions!

Happy Love Day!

We never make a big deal about Valentine's Day.  Why?  I have no idea.  This year, I thought I am going to make the day special for my little ones.  Because love is important!  The most important!  And even though V-day is cheesy, sometimes we need to just jump in.  So that's what I did.  I jumped in.  "Cupid" left little gifts at the table.  Daddy went and got special pink donuts.  AND they were so happy!  So that in turn made me HAPPY!!!

Rocco did not want to smile because Hadleigh was touching his computer.  BUT notice how she is loving making him mad.  Sneaky girl!!

They are blowing you a kiss!!!

A Baby No More

Happy birthday sweet precious girl!!  I cannot believe you are 3 years old!!!
I just want to freeze time!
Your speech has taken off and you talk a mile a minute.  Your speech therapist has dismissed you and the school district says you are doing too well to accept you into its program!!  So exciting!!

Your body still struggles with stairs and jumping but you don't care.  You figure it out your way!!  Life is not always going to be easy for you.  You fall down a lot.  You run into things a lot.  You constantly have boo-boos but nothing stops you!  Every day you are into something new!

You love playing on anyone's "hone."  You are obsessed.  You love Frozen and can sing most of the songs.  You love playing with your stuffed Micky and Minnie, Daisy and Goofy.  You have been asking for Donald and Pete but Mommy doesn't know where to get those.  You still love playing with your baby dolls.  Sometimes you even give them a "panking."

Everybody comments how beautiful you are.  They say your eyes are stunning.  People always comment how warm your smile is and they are all right!!  You are irresistible!!

Everybody wants to love on you!  You are the most cuddly of toddlers.  You always want to give hugs and kisses.  Daddy always gets some!!

Even your brother and sister think the world of you and always want you to play with them.  You love playing the big kid games.

And let's not forget your BFF.  You love everything about your cousin KK and he loves everything about you.  This picture melts my heart.  You love to look at "hones" together.  You love to bounce balls together.  You love to climb the bunk beds together.  You ask where KK is every.single.day.

I am so proud of what you have accomplished in your 3rd year.  You make my cup runneth over.  I cannot wait to see how you grow in your 4th year!  (I can only hope you will start using the potty and not set some weird record for oldest kid still in diapers).  Just saying!!

A snow-pocolypse

I don't know what is going on with Mother Nature but our chances of seeing snow are usually NIL down here in South Texas.  BUT when we woke up there was something weird on our lawn.

It looked like fertilizer.  Actually it looked like dip-n-dots.  Small circular little pellots.

Hadleigh and Rocco were checking it out.

They even managed to pull enough together for a small snowball fight!!!

Poor Jillian was so sad that when we got to school there was NO snow.
Not even one little dip-n-dot.
But we definitely have cold and windy.  I am very tired of this weather and ready for my 90 degree Februaries to return!!!!

Five on Rocco

My sweet precious boy is 5 years old!!!  Seriously, how can that be?  I look at him and I see no hint of baby, toddler, or preschooler.  Rocco is straight up boy!!

1.  The boy has no teeth!!  He lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago and his other bottom tooth is literally hanging on by a thread.  So with his surgery he will be missing all 4 front teeth!!  Don't feel bad for him.  He eats like a horse anyways!!!

2.   This is the face Rocco usually has on.  He thinks he is Mr. Funnyman.  He will look into my eyes and tell me I am so beautiful and in the same breath, then turn around, shake his bootie and make farting noises.

3.  This is the other face he makes all the time.  This is the face he makes when he gets caught but still thinks he is Mr. Funnyman.

4.  The boy can have attitude.  He does NOT like to be told no.  He will usually throw a fit or whine for hours until I relent and let him have it.  He is nothing less that completely persistent.

5.  Rocco has an obsessive personality.  He is obsessed with being a teacher.  He is obsessed with all things teachers use like school supplies and calendars and flashcards.  He obsessed with being a lifeguard.  He loves nametags.  He loves those stretchy name clips.  He loves lanyards.

I am super excited that Rocco is 5.  He will be coming with me to school in 8 short months!!!
