Messy Monday

Well, my wallet is still missing so I guess I am giving up.  I stood in line for 2 hours at the DMV and got a new license (which I should have done a long time ago since it still has my old address).  And I need to order new cards.  It really is not that big a deal since there have been no charges to any of our accounts BUT I had cute pictures in my wallets and I had several gift cards that I had not used.  Grrrr!!!  That is what I am going to miss - the gift cards!!

Rocco threw my phone in the tub when I was washing Hadleigh and killed it.  So that has been another fiasco to get a new phone.

School is winding down.  Only 22 days left!!!  I cannot believe it!!!  This has been a good class.  They are very smart and loving.  A mom asked me today point-blank if I would considering looping with this class and I said NO!!  One year is enough!!  I will still love them from afar!!!

Our Disney trip is getting so close and I am starting to have panic attacks.  I will write more on that later!!

The kids and I are registered for VBS.  This year, I am going to teach Rocco's class and I have convinced Summer to teach Jillian and Gavin's class.

Jillian's dance recital is coming up.  This summer both Rocco and Jillian will be in swim lessons.  With the Disney trip, I am not going to put Jillian on the swim team.  I think we will hold off for one more summer.  SO MUCH STUFF is coming up!!

My Mom has taken Jillian to cooking classes.  (She got it through Groupon.)  Jillian is over the moon for these classes.  Look how cute the kitchen is!!!

She chops vegtables (and eats them!!!!)

The mix and have to clean up!!
 She chops fruit!!

She grates cheese!!!

And make potato chip cookies!!

The girl is so excited about these classes!  She talks about them and uses huge words like ingredients and measuring.  I am hoping this will lead to her taking over the cooking at our house so Mommy can take a break!!!!

Life is Better at the Beach

Hello!!  My week has been pretty awful.  I have misplaced my wallet.  The last time I remember having it was last Thursday.  I didn't realize it was gone until Monday when I was at the HEB checkout with over $200.00 in groceries (so embarrassing).  Bryan and I have looked everywhere but we haven't found it yet.  There have not been any strange charges to our cards so I truly feel like I set it somewhere and it is just missing.  I don't know what to do???  When we got back from Port Aransas (see below) I also noticed my blue camera was missing.  But this is a separate incident than the wallet.  Lots of people laugh at me because I have multiple cameras but I really liked my blue one and what is wrong with me???  Why can I not keep track of everything???

Anyways, last weekend we made a quick trip to Port Aransas to enjoy Sandfest.  Well, we did not even think to check the weather because late April by the coast = hot weather.
Not this time!!!  On Saturday, it was freeeeeezing!!!  There was a very chilly wind that just ripped through your clothes.  But Sunday was the total opposite!!  Gorgeous day!!!

Rocco had a blast!!!!

Jillian was up to mischief!!!  She was splashing anyone who walked by and throwing sand!!  I had to have a talk with her when she splashed people that we didn't even know!!
The water was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing!!!!!  But they didn't seem to care!!!

Little Miss did NOT get in the water.  She wanted to exercise the whole time.  She was very busy practicing her walking with Grammie and Poppy.

Report Card

I had a lot that I wanted to say but I ran out of gas. I am at a low point at school (which normally happens around this time of year) and I just want to stay home everyday!!!! I am tired of dealing with crazy kids and their issues. I would rather stay at home and deal with my own childrens' issues. Hee hee!

Let's go from smallest to biggest. Up first, Hadleigh. She is doing so well with her physical therapy. She is up crawling on all fours. She will use a push toy to walk around the room. She will climb anything and climb it quickly. I have never had a climber before. You have to watch her like a hawk around the stairs or chairs or anything she can get a leg up on.

We are hoping that she will walk before 18 months. That will still keep her in the "normal" range. I say that and what will I do if she doesn't?? She is seeing two great therapists and she will get it in her time not MY time!! I love this pic of her big grin and look what the humidity did to her hair. I love the wings.

I lied. I am now going to Jillian. This girl is doing so well with her reading. She blows me away. She enjoys her dance class. She LOVES going to cooking class with Grammie. They wear hats and aprons and learn the rules of the kitchen. Today they were going to make potato chip cookies. She is so Bryan's child. She is very athletic. She has decided that t-ball is for babies. She wants you to pitch her the ball. She can hit that ball out of the park!! It is crazy!!! You really have to be alert when she is playing ball with Poppy!!

However, her sassiness (and eye-rolling) can get out of control. Yesterday, we were playing with some neighborhood kids and I was standing with the moms and she asked for a snack to which I said "No sweetheart we are going to have dinner in 10 minutes." In front of everyone, she stamped her foot and crossed her arms and basically declared to everyone that I was a horrible mother and that Daddy would have let her. Awesome moment!! I am sure you can imagine the battle that we had in front of the other mommies!!!

I will end with the Roc. He can be so sweet and loving. But the terrible 3s have definitely been wayyyyyy rougher than the 2s. The 2s were mild for him. He will stamp his foot and say no and cry buckets when he doesn't get his way.

He is doing great with his potty-training. He has very few accidents (sometimes he struggles to get his pants/underwear down all the way at school). He even takes his naps wearing underwear (he goes potty right before naptime). But nighttime, he is not even close but that's OK.

Let's talk about the paci. The paci comes and go. Somedays he does not want it at all. Other days he wants it for nap and night. Then somedays he wants it all day and will hunt for one high and low and even steal Hadleigh's if he has to.

I don't know why but I am just not worried about it (it bothers everybody else and I think bothers them that I am not worried about it). I let Jillian have a bottle until she was 2 1/2 and I got flack for that so I cut Rocco down and took the bottle away at 2 but I just don't see the big deal in all of it. To me, they will lose it when they are ready. I have not seen any child in kinder that drinks a bottle or sucks a paci. So I think my kids will be OK too.

Anyways, I love his eyelashes. I don't know where he got them. Bryan and I do not have eyelashes anywhere close to as beautiful as his.

In the end, I feel like I give myself a report card on my mothering skills (or lack of mothering skills). Why do I do that to myself? I need to just relax and focus on the good and listen to Bob Marley.....

Don't worry about a thing

Every little thing is gonna be alright

Cool Riders

Poppy has created two monsters. On Saturday, he took the kids around the neighborhood for 30 minutes letting them take turns "driving" the Corvette. They had so much fun!!! On Sunday, they begged to do it again!!! I hope they don't expect one of these for their 16th birthday!!!!

Positions

Happy Friday!! Yesterday, Jillian's dance class opened the doors for parents so we could see what they have been learning this spring!! As always, Jillian did great. She takes the singing very seriously!! Her dance moves are secondary.

This is my favorite song that they do. I have very clear memories of working at the barre at my dance studio when I was little and learning the positions.

Rocco was soooooooooooooo good during dance class. I gave him my phone and he worked on putting together some puzzles and memory games using some of my apps. What did we do before phones???

Hadleigh was very good too. She read her Elmo book and drank a bottle then she decided to pee all over my Dad. Ha!!! I guess her diaper was not situated correctly and let out some leakage. It was so funny! Well, probably not for my Dad!!

Crawling the "right" way

Yay!!!!! At 14 months, Hadleigh has decided to crawl the "right" way. She is up on all fours and moving like a champ!!! I have been meaning to video her in action for several days and just couldn't get the time to do it. You will crack up at the end of the video at what she is crawling for!!! Seriously, every child loves a phone no matter what age!!!

Easter Weekend

WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!

On Saturday, Summer and I had the brilliant idea to take the kids to the park for some "exercise." In reality, it is more like herding cats and stopping for water/snack breaks ever five minutes!! Since SA has gotten some rain, the park was gorgeous and green!!!

Here is Gavin and Jillian on their bikes and Rocco on a scooter...
The babes had a relaxing ride in the shade!!!

Poppy surprised us and showed up at the park for some exercise too!

Then after we hit the bike trails, we hit the playground!!! The double slide is a hit!!!

Doesn't H look like such a big girl???

Here is the 100th stop for a snack...

We really are sooooo blessed to have both of our families so close. Saturday night, we had dinner with Bryan's fam. Lots of cousins = lots of chaos and fun. I think Hadleigh favors Bryan's nieces Leslie and Jenny. This is Les....

This is Jen...

Jillian and Rocco LOVE playing with Katie and Ashlie joined the fun too.

We turned on the music and they wanted to dance!!!!

Time to dye eggs!!!!

This was just a few.....

Then late at night, the Easter Bunny went to work!!!!

I cannot show ya'll any photos of Sunday morning because my children refused to wear any clothes. I am not kidding when I say our children opened their baskets with no clothes on. How weird are they?? Well, they said it was too hot!!!

But to church, they put on their finest!!!!

After church, they changed clothes and got to open some presents from Grammie and Poppy!!

I ADORE this picture of Jillian and my Grandma. She is 94 and helping Jillian with her princess puzzle. How precious are moments like this???

Jillian and Gavin hunted eggs for HOURS!!!!

They were hiding the eggs in really hard places!!!!

While Bill-Bill, KK and Roc had partied too hard and zonked out!!!!

The End.
