Beach Photo Shoot

Mommy dragged (or is it drug??) everyone to the beach for a photo shoot. Considering it was hot as blue blazes and NO ONE wanted to be there except for me, I think the pictures turned out well.

What I didn't take a picure of was all of the kids crying as I loaded them into the car!!! And crying all the way back to the ya-yer. I took one too many pictures!!!

Port Aransas 2011

We almost didn't go on our annual beach trip this year because three kids is hard at our own house. We didn't know if we wanted to tackle three kids at the beach. Our wonderful cabin that we usually stay at (that has been in our family since the 40s) is just not as kid-friendly as we like so we begged our in-laws to borrow their schwanky "ya-yer" (that's trailer for those of you that do not speak Rocco).

Now this is traveling in style!!!!

We hit the beach right away!!!! This is a self-portrait with Mommy and Hadleigh!

Jillian was VERY into shell collecting and making sand castles!! Jillian and Daddy worked very hard on making this one!!

Hadleigh was NOT impressed with the beach and would conk out quickly for her morning nap!!!

Jillian and Rocco have NO fear of the water. They love jumping over the waves! We had to be careful though because we saw several sting rays and jellyfish.

Hadleigh woke up to enjoy some sun!!

How Hard Is It to Take Care of 6 kids???

VERY HARD!!!!!

Summer needed to run some errands so we developed a plan. Tire the kids out, feed them lunch and they should crash for naps.

My part was tiring the kids out with the help of the pool.

Then we fed them lunch! Part A and part B of our plan accomplished. Then came part C. Hadleigh and KK were sleeping when Summer left. My job was to get Rocco, Jillian and Gavin down for a nap.

As soon as Summer shut the front door, the babies were up. Oh great! So I put them on play mats and went to work. Rocco was the easy one. He fell asleep pretty quickly. Can't even see him under the sheets!!

Then Jillian and Gavin fell asleep under the piano in the fort they made with Roy.

When I get back to the babies....no one is sleeping...

Look at this face!!! She is not going to sleep anytime soon!!!

Kiernan doesn't look tired either, does he??So, me and the babies had some play time. We cooed and gooed at each other...but it was really hard when both of them got fussy and then Hadleigh puked all down my front. Roy ran to my rescue and helped me until Summer got home from her errands.

Part C of the plan was partially successful. 3 out of 5 kids napping is definitely a sucess!!!

Great visit with great friends

Two weeks ago, Amy, Allison, and Aidan came to our house for a visit. The kids have been talking about this for weeks and we're so excited to see their friends!!! Between Amy and I, we have 5 kids age 5 and under. To say that our 3 days together was INSANE is an understatement. BUT is was so much fun too!!!


Out of all the "boy" toys at our house, Rocco and Aidan wanted to play with the stroller of course!!

Amy and I thought it would be a GREAT idea to take the "big" kids to Sea World in 105 degree weather!!! Having all 5 kids in the car was hilarious (I couldn't quite get Hadleigh on the left but she's there)!! We dropped off Hadleigh and we arrived at Sea World!!!

Then disaster strikes!!! My double stroller lost the very important back wheel!!!! We tried fixing it but it broke again!! We had to abandon ship!!!!

We loaded all the kids onto Amy's stroller and we could barely push it!!! These kids are getting heavy!!!

Shamu was a hit as long as we were giving them snacks to eat!!!!

They loved the waterpark!!! Can you hear Amy and I screaming at our boys?? DON'T DRINK THE WATER!!!!!

Next day we went to a favorite of ours...Kiddie Park. Everyone had a great time and loved all of the rides!!! Again, it was 105 degrees at 10:00 in the morning!!!

Finally I love this pic of Allison and Hadleigh!!! Doesn't she need a little sister of her own???? I think Tyler will think that is a great idea!!!!! Allison will be such a big helper!! Hee hee

The visit was great and we'll have to do it again soon on Amy's turf!!!!

5 months old

My baby girl is already 5 months old!! What is she up to you ask??

Still the sweetest personality!

She has started laughing!

She is rolling everywhere.

She drools constantly because......

She has two teeth!! (bottom front) (you can see them in the picture)

We put away the bouncy seats and got out the exersaucer!!

She is almost sleeping through the night. I put her down around 7 and she sleeps until 5. I can nurse her and put her back down until about 10 if we don't have anywhere to go.

She takes a morning nap and a afternoon nap.

Overall, she is a shockingly easy baby considering she is mine and my other two were very high maintenance. She is anything but high maintenance!!!

Pull-ups Gone Wrong

In our house, pull-ups are used every way except the right way. I have not figured out how to potty train a boy. As long as he is putting these things on his head and not his bobo, then we aren't getting anywhere!!
