Seriously, Rocco is the funniest kid. I don't know where he comes up with half the things he says and the way he says them.

He still calls himself Gocco even though he can clearly make the r sound in other words. Very entertaining!

Frankly, you would think he was from Chicago cheering for DA Bears with as much as he loves the word Da. For example,

Straw-da-berries
Black-da-berries
raz-da-berries

He also loves to say awesome! His teachers at school LOVE him because he will run up and say, Miss Kelly you awesome! about 100 x a day.

Last night, he told me "Mama, don't touch that. Its ensitive!" Where on earth did you learn that? "At cool." Of course! What are they teaching over there!! Ha ha!!

He has started saying, I yuve you ole bunch (aka I love you whole bunch).

He LOVES being the teacher and will yell at his "students" and say "no hit Kale" and against the wall! (Evidently some boy named Kale gets in a lot of trouble at school).

Now that I am writing this post, I can't think of the funny things. Oh well. 6 days left of school so my brain is fried!!!

Oh yea! One more thing....At their school, they pray before every meal. Both J & R know their prayers and can easily recite them. Well, the other day, Jillian kept going after their prayer but I couldn't understand anything she was saying. I said, "Jillian what are you saying?"

Mommy, don't you know? That's our prayer in Spanish.

Oh vey!! I knew it wouldn't take long before she was smarter than me!!

Aftershocks

As you know, there has been a lot of changes for everybody since this little girl has arrived. (Totally unrelated to the point but isn't she adorable??)





I think the person that it has affected the most is my Roc. Never as a baby did he ever show an interest in a paci - NEVER! But now that Miss Hadleigh is in the picture, pacis have become very important to him. I have not fought him on it because I know it is just a phase. But all these pacis in the house really drive me insane.....especially when we can't find one and I know we have 100s.
Even Jillian has caught the paci bug, yesterday she asked Rocco if she could borrow one so she could be the baby too. Everybody wants to be the baby!!!!
Usually Jillian is my finger-sucker! Again, as a baby she never had any interest in a paci or sucked her thumb BUT something happened when she turned 3. Now if she is nervous or tired, she will suck her pointer finger. Only the pointer.

AND NOW Rocco has started sucking his pointer too!

All I know is there is a lot of sucking going on AND it is all cuz of this girl! I am getting closer to capturing that smile!!!

What does a 33 year old do for her birthday?

First, after Hadleigh was born, Bryan and I made a rule. NO MORE EATING AT RESTAURANTS!!!! With 3 kids 4 and under, it is just not fun!! You know what I am talking about!! Can I get an Amen???



BUT for my birthday, we broke this rule and ate out. WHY did we break the rule?? Not fun!! I picked a child-friendly place but Hadleigh fussed most of the meal and J & R would not stay in their chairs. NOT FUN! So the rule is back in effect!!!

After dinner, we went back to our house for dessert!!! Voila!!!


Actually there was 2 desserts because this is my family and we live for desserts!!!

Then on Saturday, I took all 3 kids to the zoo BY MYSELF!!! When I turned 33, I went CRAZY!!! Actually we had a really good time and the kids were angels!

Everybody wore a hat to the zoo.
We got up close and personal to this black bear!

We also got up close and personal to the komodo dragon!!

Then I let them hang over the ledge (ala Michael Jackson style) and feed the ducks!!

Rocco thought the ducks were very stinky!!!

Hadleigh and I did not get our picture taken at the zoo because I was wearing her and I forgot to turn the camera around for a self portrait.

The BEST part of the day was when we got back from the zoo and ALL 3 kids took over a three hour nap and Mommy got to nap too!!!! Yay for naps!!!! They all napped again on Sunday!!! Hooray!!

Comparison

Well, I did some research. I hunted down J & R's 3 month pic.
In my opinion, Miss H is sure looking like her brother and not her sister.
(maybe it is the double-chin?? hee hee)

13 1/2 more days of school until summer!! Yippee!!!

3 months

Wow! I can't believe I am writing that!! The fastest three months of my life!! Lots of people told me that the transition from 1 to 2 kids was harder than 2 to 3 kids. They were lying!!! I think they just said that so I would not panic during my pregnancy. I am definitely not running on full cylinders. I am putt-putting along counting down the weeks/days/seconds until the end of school (16 and 1/2 days for those of you wondering).

I get to bed around 11:00 p.m. after my last pumping of the evening. Then Hadleigh gets up 1 or 2 times and then there may be an occasional appearance by the other two (last night both J & R came to our bed and I had to send them back to their room). Then the alarm goes off at 5:30. I estimate I am getting about 5 hrs of sleep a night.

But look at this girl!!! Isn't she dreamy?? I just love this sweet pink dress with the sun hat!!

She is a champion eater! I should have taken a picture of her legs. When she was born, she had the scrawniest legs you have ever seen and now they have tiny rolls on her thighs!! So cute!! Let's see if she gets the rolls that Rocco had?? That boy had rolls!!!

She has the sweetest temperment. She has started to coo and goo! She makes the sweetest baby noises! She is so opposite my older two in that she LOVES the swings and LOVES her paci. Both J & R screamed bloody murder in the swing and both of them were not so interested in a paci. She has earned several nicknames: Hadleigh-boo, Haddy-Waddy.

She has started smiling but I have yet to capture a good one on camera. My mom is close! H will smile for mom a lot and she has several pics of an almost smile!

Everyday her "look" changes to me. Somedays I swear she looks like Jillian but other days, I think "who does she look like at all?" Other than her nose.....her nose is straight up Bryan. Can't mistake that one!!! Her hair is this weird brown/red/dark blonde color. Her eyes are still blue so I guess they are going to stay that way.

She is such an easy-going member of the family! It was about time we got one of those kinds!!

Mother's Day

I am having such a rough time with blogging. I have a LOT to say however I don't have enough time to put together a post.


Well, Rocco and Jillian woke me up bright and early (5am) yesterday morning to tell me "Happy Valentine's Day." I was able to get Jillian to go back to bed however Rocco is a VERY clingy stage right now and he was up for the day!!

Here we are before church!! My heart is so full! I could not be a luckier mom to have these precious angels!!

Afterwards, we headed to Grammie and Poppy's to meet the whole fam! We did a different menu than normal and had chicken and beef fajitas with all of the trimmings. I must have gained 10 pounds the food was so so so delicious!!!

We officially opened the pool for 2011!!!! Jillian got to pick out her new swimsuit. She jumped right in and never looked back!!


Rocco was ready too!!!

However, he was out in 3 seconds because it was "coddy Mommy, coddy Mommy."

My fish didn't care about the cold and swam all afternoon!!!!

It was a perfect day!!!
