Our love will never crumble....

But the building sure did!!!

Bryan and I got married in 2001. We got married in our church and had our reception in a historical building in downtown SA. The building was beautiful with limestone walls and huge windows overlooking Main Plaza. Here we are via 2001 (Bryan's smile that day still cracks me up!!)

Interesting fact: After the famous battle of the Alamo, General Santa Anna set up headquarters in this building. Here it is in 1904.

And here it was last night.....

And this morning...

Sooooooo sad!!!! A complete loss!!!

Also, when I was a lawyer, our office was in the tower next to the building. (You can see it in the background.) It suffered extensive damage as well. Probably God telling me that I should not be a lawyer!!!

What's going on??

Same 'ol, same 'ol.....

Hadleigh threw up on Sunday. Jillian threw up twice yesterday. Rocco has had some nasty diapers. This all has me thinking we have a stomach bug. I have several kids in my class get sick so maybe I brought it home with me???

Jillian has been upgraded to a booster seat (still with a 5 pt harness b/c I am not willing to let her go without it yet) so Rocco was having fun times with the box.

Also in an effort to save money, I have taken over all hair cutting. I now cut Rocco's hair and Jillian's and I am trying to convince Bryan to let me work on his. I will say for an amateur, I am doing pretty good.

Hadleigh now has 8 teeth - 4 on bottom, 4 on top....
She rolls everywhere ....

Last week, at her daycare, Jillian was put on the yellow list. (yellow means warning)
It said "Jillian - not listening." BROKE MY HEART!!! We had a big meeting of the big wigs (me and Daddy) and she went to time out in her room and we had a big talk about listening to our teacher and being respectful at ALL times. She cried, I cried. Gosh, parenting is hard. Since then, she is back on green (means good). Hope it stays that way!!!

Work has been soooooo busy!!! I am still up at school for our Open House tonight. 6-7:30 can you say ugh!!! In my opinion, it is too late and too long. It should be 5-6 but nobody asked me. I will be exhausted the rest of the week!

More stuff but gotta go get ready for the parents!

Comfort

This is the perfect picture to show you why I never worry one second about my kids on Tuesdays and Thursdays.....

Here is my girl getting precious one-on-one snuggle time with her Poppy. On the front porch, Jillian is watching the rain, reading the Bible (evidently her fav story right now is about Judas) (although Poppy struggles to explain his hanging) and having the perfect afternoon.

I am so lucky to have such wonderful parents who love my kids sooooooo much!!!

Comparisons

People ask me all of the time who Hadleigh looks like. Quite frankly, I don't know.

The problem is I don't have a pic of Bryan at 6 months

but here is me and the girls at 6-7 months.

Add Rocco to the mix....

And comparing the 3....

I don't know who they look like? Rocco at 6 months cracks me up! That chubba-lubba chin is so cute!

7 months old

7 months to Hadleigh means 7 new teeth.

At 6 months she had 2 and now she has 7 - 4 on bottom and 3 on top!

(You can see all 4 on the bottom in the pic.)

The girl has been busy!

She cannot sit up on her own.

She cannot crawl.

The girl is too busy getting new teeth!

She is wearing 6-12 mos clothes.

She is about to switch to size 3 diapers.

She will eat anything I give her. Really she has not refused anything!

But her favorite is peas just like her brother!

Growing, growing, growing but still not mobile.

I think it is right around the corner......

then I'll have 3 moving kids.

I think that will bring a whole other dimension to this house!

My favorite pic at the moment!!!

My Kids Suck

It all started with this one....At age 3, she began sucking her pointer finger. No one has been able to break her of this habit. I asked her yesterday if she sucked her finger at school. She said no. I told her I was going to ask her teacher and she said I couldn't. Eh-hey!

And because he does EVERYTHING his older sister does, he has followed suit...

He will alternate between his pointer and his thumb. Sigh......

And now the baby. So far, she is thumb only.

I have tried several different things to try and discourage this habit with no success.

I don't want Jillian sucking her finger in kindergarten so I have a year to break the habit.

Any suggestions???

Cough, Cough

That is what I hear at my house these days.

It started with Rocco and croup. Rocco's croup turned into bronchitis. Now it sounds like Jillian has croup.

Imagine barking seals - that is what their coughs sound like.

So we are doing a lot of this.....

and this....... (and yes, (since I know you are wondering) Jillian does like to do her breathing treatments while not wearing any clothes)

I just raise them. It doesn't mean I understand them.
